Homeward Bound Mobile Veterinary Clinic, P.C., was established in 1998 by Dr. Keri L.Jones. Originally based out of a 1978 motorhome, the business expanded and grew from there to a converted 2000 26ft Itasca motorhome, fully equipped with x-ray, anesthesia and surgery equipment, endoscope, EKG, blood pressure monitor, dental equipment, oxygen, and laboratory diagnostic equipment. In 2006, we opened a hospital in Arvada, but still maintain our housecall roots. While the hospital is now the majority of our business, and we no longer have a motorhome, we will always offer housecalls to our patients in need.

Geriatric PetsHomeward Bound is based in Arvada, Colorado, and serves most of the Western Denver Metro area. Our new hospital in Arvada is a converted farm house and still maintains its quaint charm. We find that the look and feel of the clinic has some bearing on the anxiety level of our patients, so we try to maintain as "homey" an appearance as possible for our hospital. We also do housecalls and can take care of most routine healthcare and minor ailments right in your home. Older pets are our specialty.

Do I use the mobile or the hospital?

Obviously, convenience and location may have some bearing on this decision, but here are a few recommendations:

Homeward Bound Animal Hospital

We recommend using the hospital if your pet is otherwise healthy and needs a routine exam, vaccines, or an elective surgical or dental procedure. This will save you the trip fee, and the “healthy pet” services cost less at the hospital. Of course, we are always happy to make housecalls for such visits as well if that is more convenient for you. Sick or injured pets that may need hospitalization or x-rays are also best seen at the hospital.

Homeward Bound Mobile Veterinary Clinic

We recommend the mobile service if your pet is geriatric, has anxiety issues about vet clinics, or gets car sick. We also recommend mobile service for multiple-pet households, as home visits are much easier on everyone when there are multiple pets. Pets with mild to moderate illnesses may be treatable at home to minimize stress.

How does it work?

You simply call us to make an appointment, and let us know if you would like to come to our Arvada hospital or you would like us to come to your house. It doesn’t get much easier! We want you and your pet to be comfortable and as stress-free as possible.

Our “office hours” are by appointment, but are generally Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, Saturday 9am-12pm. Some days we are mobile and some are at the Arvada hospital. Please call for scheduling availability.
